Mount Rushmore
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln famously tell the story of the birth, growth, development and preservation of this country at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota just 30 minutes from Custer, SD. The famous Mt. Rushmore monument features four U.S. Presidents carved into a massive one-of-a-kind tribute to our country’s rich history.
Mount Rushmore brings visitors face to face with 60-ft. high granite sculptures depicting U.S. presidents Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln in an inspirational setting.
Started in 1927, the presidents' faces were completed in 1939. Sadly, the sculptor, Gutzon Borglum died in March 1941 and the project stopped short of the originally envisioned head to chest design due to funding.
Today, nearly three million people visit Mount Rushmore’s facilities every year. Learn More
We encourage visitors to enjoy the monument and then visit our store in Custer, SD.
