Our deer hides are all commercially tanned. Deer have hollow hair so they are a good choice for hanging on the wall or laying over a banister. Not recommended for a rug or used for anything that would move the hairs constantly. Unlike other furred animals, deer , elk, moose ,antelope and caribou have hollow hair for insulation which breaks over time when walked on, used for seats or clothing.
